Royals Fan Fest

This picture makes me giggle every time I look at it.

It was even worse when a mom would place a teeny tiny baby in the hole.

I'm not quite sure what they were going for with this cutout, but if they were going for the laugh factor, it definitely had it. The body was so big and the "real" heads so small, it was destined to be voted "mom's favorite picture spot" at the Fan Fest.

We headed to the Fan Fest with Marianne and "the presidents." We had planned to go on the weekend, but her in-laws received a special invite-only for Thursday night, and she invited us to go along.

Free food. Free drinks. And enough room to move about.

Jeremy Guthrie, his son Dash; Tyler, Lincoln, Taft and Hayes
Count us in!

Plus, it's been way too long since we've got to spend an evening with their family.

Our first Fan Fest trip was completely awesome.

Tyler had stars in his eyes as he got ball after ball signed by Shields, Guthrie, Crow and Butler.

He also got his picture taken with each one {but Billy; they wouldn't let you take pictures with Billy for some reason}.

Sadly, Hosmer and Moustaches were not there during the week; only the weekend.

Tyler took his first swings at a ball in a batting cage. And played outfield with a major league pitcher - who not only played pitcher but also hit balls to the kids in the outfield.

Talk about a little kid's dream come true.

There's no way we'll be able to top this next year!
