First "Intensive"

Ashlee attended her first dance intensive Sunday (even after a LATE sleepover the night before).

It was FOUR hours long, including an hour each of tap, ballet, jazz and hip hop. The girls were vying for scholarships in each genre.

Ashlee was the youngest attendee from our studio; the rest being in second- or third-grade. There were about 100 girls at the intensive, maybe slightly less.

Ashlee enjoyed herself, despite not getting a scholarship (two of the JJD girls earned one). She was happy with how she did and was glad to have spent the day doing something she enjoyed; she's not one to be too competitive.

Perhaps there are more of these in her future; they certainly can help her with her duet!
